Justin Sobion
Justin is an international environmental lawyer from Trinidad and Tobago. After practising law for several years, Justin worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago. On this assignment, he was posted to his country’s High Commission to the United Nations (UN) in Geneva, Switzerland. After his posting, Justin served as an Associate Human Rights Officer at the Office of the President of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Justin holds a PhD candidate in Environmental Law, from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He is a Senior Tutor at the Auckland Law School.
Presently, Justin is a part of a team of regional lawyers representing and assisting three Caribbean states (Grenada, St Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines) at the International Court of Justice’s advisory opinion proceedings on climate change.
Justin is also the author of the biography of his Dad The West Indian Lawyer – Keith Sobion. He also enjoys painting and doing yoga.
